Stay and Play
Working in Partnership with our Parents and Carers is central to enabling the children in our care to develop and achieve their full potential. We do this through a variety of ways including our popular ‘Stay & Play’ sessions.
This is where the staff will set up activities following the children’s interests and parents/carers can come along and take part in the activities, learn new skills and ideas for learning at home through play.
Parents are informed of upcoming Stay and Play sessions on the monthly newsletters and through our events page on the website.
Our stay and play sessions always have a planned theme around the children’s interests, seasons or time of year. Parents can suggest activities they would like to do to develop their own skills; for example baking, making playdough, messy play, using puppets and much more.
We share children’s Learning Journeys with parents/carers every six weeks following the children individual planning cycle, sharing significant milestones, observations of children interests and ideas for learning at home.
