I am a Designated Safeguarding Officer and the lead SENDCo for the nursery and am currently studying to complete my Level 5 qualifications in Management.
I work with children because I believe that it is my calling to help children become excited about learning, be engaged in the learning process and to excel in all that they do. I also want to instill curiosity and a love of learning in children, so that they will always have a desire to explore, grow and develop.
I will work with my team to support each child and their family to meet children’s individual needs and interests Providing a warm and stimulating environment with tailored activities and play opportunities.
Elizabeth Pye – Deputy Nursery Manager
My name is Elizabeth Pye and I am the Deputy nursery manager and Early Years Teacher at Tiddlywinks Higher Blackley nursery. I have been qualified as an Early Years Teacher since 2015 and I have a degree in Educational Studies.
I have over 18 years’ experience working in schools, mainly with the Early Years Foundation Stage aged children. I commenced working at Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in April 2016 as the Foundation Room Team Leader & Early Years Teacher where as part of a team I plan, prepare and carry out exciting activities with the children to help them achieve and develop their skills in all areas.
I help set up a safe, happy and stimulating learning environment for the children to initiate their own play, explore and investigate and get them ready with the necessary skills to transition to school. I will support the staff team and help them develop their skills and share ideas to make the learning environment an outstanding one.
